This is Week 3 of the Curls of Joy "Know Your Hair Love Your Hair" Challenge. I'm also in the 2nd week of trying the Curly Girl Method. I'm also a video feature on Mahogany Curls. (Yeah!) Curly Girl Method: Week 2 Day 4 Here are the pictures... 2 Comments I thought I'd update periodically but I'm going to start by adding my food here. I tracked my way through almost 40 pounds. I believe I can do it again...not with 40 lbs...but to get everything on track. I'm only going to weigh and measure on Fit Test Days (about every 2 weeks). Therefore, I have to use my energy level and workouts as my gauges of my progress. Knowing what I eat is important to making adjustments since the workout program is set. My notes below as well. So, here we go. The Healthy Me (personal challenge) has kicked off officially. Today was my first full workout and Shaun T (the trainer) is truly INSANE. Have you ever spent nearly an hour slipping in your own sweat? Man oh Man...I plan to pop in and out for my own accountability. I also have a couple of friends that are joining me on this journey. Day 1 Review Week 2. I survived to Week 2. Did you see my results? I did good. Man...I have to let my Yeahs be Yeahs and my Setbacks be Setbacks. I have a video update coming but I wanted to write out my thoughts. I am enjoying the Curly Girl Method. I will go through the process, my thoughts, my pros, cons, etc. once I have a handle on things. I'm deep conditioning today (looking fab in my crochet beanie) and restyling with a little gel. Week 2 Plan My next goal is to test my night routine. I've tried: Shaun T and I have a thing going on...nothing like Mrs. Jones...(smile) something involving an increase in cardio and sweat. I planned to start a couple of weeks ago but my plans had plans of their own. My measurements are the same. Thus, the Insanity* has begun.... *This is an affiliate link. I'm heading to a race and my hair looks better than day 1 and day 2...to me. :o) I'm running to a race literally...but if you don't know what Day 4 Hair is, it's a wash&go or style that lasts four days. Thus, daily I wake stretch the curls a little and go. I'm loving this.(smile) Not bad for first day hair. I'll share pictures over the next day or so. If this works I will be sooooo happy!
