I am sitting thinking of what to type. I feel like saying “deja vu”. Like this moment occurred before…and it’s probably because it has.
This blog/website has always been about my life and hobbies. For the past couple of years my yarncrafts have dominated my posting activity, which is cool. However, I’d like to share other hobbies too.
Thus, without going down a winding, unpredictable trail of…
- How I got here…
- Why its important…
- Oh Lord I need some accountability…. 😉
I think I just post already. 🙂
I have to start somewhere. I have let my yarning and life kick my health to the curb. It is sad…so sad…but that’s the excuse I’m sticking with.
Hence the kick-off of Fit Friday. I should call it Health Friday but it doesn’t have the same ring to it.
On Fit Friday’s I’ll share my weekly progress. Not inches and pounds—at least I don’t intend to. I plan to share a bit of this and that about my journey to get my health back on track.
This and that includes:
- Lack of workouts
Basically, I’m starting. I have a plan, sort of, however my greatest commitment, beyond a plan, is to doing it.
I was serious about “pressing play” and launching. This time its not a product. It is my intention. Here’s this week’s declaration—or really next week’s but I had to post this or I would have chickened out and my daughter thinks I’m nuts but hey I’ve done worse and this is the longest sentence I’ve wrote in my life so maybe I should just stop.
I can’t believe I just did that. And I’m NOT editing it out. 😉
The not so plan, plan.
21 Day Vegan challenge. I like challenges.
I’m not sure they like me.
Oh well, I’m going vegan for 21 days. In my heart I’d like it commit to a longer period of time—maybe another time. For now, “I have to start somewhere”.
I choose June 1st.
I’ve actually lived on a vegan diet for several months and felt great. But finances and life pulled me back to a more flexitarian approach. 😉
This election is purely about my health at this point. Clean eating…not vegan junk food. More plant-based foods than process foods. And of course, no meat or animal-derived products.
And this means no gummy bears. Did you know gummy bears are not vegan? Man…animal products are laced in almost everything.
I said it earlier but I want to get my health on track. I exercise alone and thought “why not post on my blog”. I want to be my best self…inside and out.
The vegan eating will address some of the inside—the rest is based on reading and studying the Word. As for my physical activity, I started reestablishing my running base last month. So I will continue with a 5k schedule and attending a few group classes at the Y.
I believe that’s all for today. I’ve started Fit Fridays with a BANG…LOL!
I have about a week before the official kickoff…I can’t tell you what I’m thinking but it is soft and creamy and I better enjoy it before May 31st at 11:59pm.
